When one member of the Parish is unable to celebrate fully at the Sunday Liturgy due to sickness or advanced age, the Eucharist Minister becomes a vital link between the parish community and the member who is hospitalized or homebound. Our Ministers bring Christ in Holy Communion to parishioners who are in the hospital, or in Nursing Homes/ALF’s, and those who are Homebound. Some Ministers do this weekly, others once or twice a month, according to their own schedules. This visitation is pastoral care and one of the ancient ministries of the Church.
